Is there an upgrade available for the base Telecom ROM? I have 2.3.3 and checked on Kies for firmware auto-download and there does not appear to be anything available? Do I need to signon directly on the handset to pick up available updates?

I'm using remix 7.4. Works great looks nice better battery. The only problem I've had is sometimes I can't answer calls. Can see the green answer slider on screen. But all is locked up till the caller hangs up.
Just wanting to know if anyone else has same issue?

Has anyone ever had all the widgets on their phone suddenly show as "Problem loading widget" and they no longer display? This happened to me today after turning the phone off and back on again half an hour later.

It's the second time it has happened in six months and to fix it, I manually remove each 'broken' widget and then add them all back. Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen.

I used to get it with LauncherPro on my old I9000 quite often - especially when I'd flashed a new ROM - after a few reboots it would usually come right.

I still get it very rarely on the SGSII, but usually only one widget in isolation. . . . What launcher are you running?

Yep, using LauncherPro. Oh well, not a big deal - case of first world problems.

Now, LinkedIn losing my message when I hit send and no recovery, now that's annoying!

Not yet. I have the Fuze firmware downloader for Samsung and it's not showing an upgrade yet. Current firmware is still dated 6.8.11.

I'll have a nosey again this weekend.

I have my cradle and MHL cable now and all together with BlueTooth keyboard and mouse I'm keen to find a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) client that supports the mouse, including right click, does anyone know of any? I looked at Splashtop as referrred from AndoidNZ.net, but this is a proprietary mechanism, and I'm seeking on that uses the MS RDP protocol.

That sounds promising. How long have you been running it? Did you restore any of your apps or download them from the market.

hey guys has anyone got any issues with swype?

firstly my fingers are small and so should not be an issue. i never (ok very very very seldom) have any typing issues in iphone in terms of accuracy.

but on my sgs2 swype 3.8.86.28077 i spend more time correcting my typing than actually typing!!!
this came with dlev 3.1 rom and i've had it for a 1 - 2 months. drives me nuts. i dont remember that much issue before.

setting to 100% left ie fastest but set to 100% right error tolerance is just the same.

1) doesnt pick up the words i actually swyped on. gives you the dumbest option/combination

2) doesnt pick up the letters i type (good chance of getting a random adjacent one can be up down left or right but usually left or right)

Tested the Trial version (full function according to the market) but right click drops back to the phone menu and does not pass through to the remote session.

Hey guys,

Still having trouble with my USB to pc connection. The phone charges when plugged in via USB but it does not connect to the PC itself. At the time the problem first occured I was running the latest offical CM7 nightlies rom which is 116.

So far I have tried it with USB debugging on and USB debugging off (NB: There is no option to turn on mass storage mode under Wireless & network settings).

I have restored a previous backup and tried it through that again with USB debugging on and off.

I have wiggled the USB wire around at the phones end as some suggested it may be a loose connection but this is not the case as the phone starts to charge right after the USB cable is plugged in.

I have flashed CheckromRevoHD_V4 and tried the connection in the same way as above.

I have tried in on 4 different computers in all the usb ports as well and still no luck. Latest version of Samsung Kies was installed on the computers to ensure i had the latests Samsung USB Drivers and still have up with the same probelm.

Anyone know of how to fix this? If not anyone got a link as to where I can get Android 2.3.3 from that I can flash through CWM so I am able to take phone back under warranty?

I'm not sure where you got your phone from but Intratech's thread here has all the carrier branded firmware you'll ever need and his official firmware thread is here. One of the two threads will have exactly what you're after.
