What's LP8's kernel? Is it LP8 as well?

I'd feel safer restoring back to v9 omega but as I said I'm not sure what happens when you restore and whether it will do some sort of wipe thereby bricking phone. Maybe I need to read up more on the whole flashing thing.

Thanks. :)

I used Mobile Odin to flash Siyah 3.1. Download the .tar file and don't select data/cache wipe when flashing.

I've also used Mobile Odin to flash v3.1.  No dramas.

I had no trouble with the rc6. Thankfully. Just to be safe I've gone back to the kernel supplied with V11 for now, and have Siyah 3.1 sitting there waiting for mobile odin to wave it's magic at after a bit more real world 'testing'.

just reading siyah thread on xda and seems that if your camera fc'd then it was the corrupt kernel.

Feel sorry for gokhan as he puts a lot into it.

I have no idea sorry. It was just an intermediate step to me going back to a cf-root kernel.

CF-Root LP7 (cwm flashable)

i don't bother wiping the data first.. and it seemes to work just fine.

my ROM of choice is CleanBlank ROM (The Real Google Experience)

For anyone using ADB from Windows with recent ROMs that use 1.18 or 1.19 Busybox
(and get colour escape sequences and can't list directories with many files), I have a fix.

Busybox 1.20 is available and enables ls on long directories.
ANSICON enables ANSI colour sequences from Windows command shells: http://softkube.com/blog/ansi-command-line-colors-under-windows/

Samsung Mobile NZ has announced that ICS will be rolling out from telcos "shortly".

Wonder if it's worth updating to it. I'm currently using the I9100DXLP7 stock ROM from March.
