Why not try the earlier version? It only broke with the new kernel from the sounds of it. I'm using Skyrom at the moment but the main ones are cognition and villain.

Brendan:
everybodylovesfebs: Sweet thansk.

For some reason I'm having trouble with Facebook for android syncing with my contacts. But before cognition, the stock samsung fb was syncing very nicely.

So my question is if I want my samsung fb back, which apk should I install?

1. Social Hub.apk
2. SnsAccountFb.apk

Or any other one from the removed app list - http://ponack.net/designgears/roms/sgs2/removed/??

EDIT:

"" ?Removed Apps:

(copy apk's /system/app, don't try to install them normally, it won't work)

http://ponack.net/designgears/roms/sgs2/removed/? ?""

How do I copy those apks into system folder? I tried copying and pasting through "androzip" similar to astro but astro wouldn't go into system files. And not sure how to install those removed apps.

You will have to download a filemanager like rootexplorer and then set the system/app directory to RW, then copy the files there.?

There are alternatives to root explorer that are free.

When i installed FB app from the market, it just synched all the contacts to my contacts app automatically. It asked me first.
?

thanks so I used es file explorer. I copied 2 files _ snsaccountfb.apk but when I tried to add account in "accounts and sync" it asked for my fb credentials and then force closed. Tried couple times without success. So I installed Socialhub.apk and same result.

So my question is what apks should I install to get stock fb back? I tried it with fb for android uninstalled as well.

Who else is finding cognition rom, moving cursors around while typing a nightmare? When texting or using swype to write this text it lags a bit as well.

I'm not sure. I imagine you can, but you could always ask in the development thread. Just a thought, did you try v3.1? It was supposed to fix the bluetooth issue.

This is fixed now.

I used ES file explorer. Very good app.

Had to copy/install all Sns apks (snsprovider, snsimagecache etc) Now all working.

The new Ninphetamine 2.0 kernel is out - have just flashed, and it feels more responsive than before.

Updates to follow.

Not that I've changed from the kernel in Cognition 1.15.  But I've had 2 random reboots and I've not UC/OV.

Rather peculiar.

I;m still trying to find a stable alternative to 3.0 of litening that isn't complicated to flash or require a wipe. To get back to 2.2 of litening requires 3 flashes!

I've just tried to use Navigon for the first time on my SGS2 but it says an error ocurred and just closed out of the app.

Has anyone experienced such problem? Can Navigon be used on SGS2? Can't really think of a reason why it can't be.

Sorry forgot to mention I got Navigon when it was free download on SGS with Aus/NZ maps.

Managed to get a quadrant score of 4000+ @ 1.2ghz but now I'm getting ~3100

I'm guessing the CPU throttles itself the hotter it gets

Yeah I've done a few Quadrant runs, but they weren't that impressive (not that I care of course!), but the phone definitely feels snappier?

Yeah, definitely

It's the first time I've run quadrant. I was just interested in seeing if speeds were as claimed
