I ordered an iPhone 64GB through Spark on interest free payments and a open plan, I had an email confirming the order and everything.. even says in the email I received - 'Your phone is coming soon! We’ll courier it out within 5 working days'. But when speaking to Spark Live Chat they seem to think the phone I ordered is on back order and they won't be getting any more and offered to cancel the order for the 16GB version instead. I haven't and have stuck with the order just incase.

The thing I don't understand is that it even let me purchase the phone in the first place - I wouldn't have bothered if I knew they were out of stock, if I try to purchase the phone now it says they're out of stock and you can't even add it to cart, but it never told me that when I placed my order.]

Is it possible this is just miscommunication by Spark Support and my phone is on the way or have a just placed an order for a phone i'll never receive? I guess I hasn't been 5 working days but the fact that they can't even provide a tracking number and are saying the order hasn't shipped makes me doubtful. Even a email notifying me from Spark would be nice.

Any similar experiences with Spark to offer insight?

(Looks at full page Spark advert advertising iPhone 6 from yesterdays Herald)

They should be able to get you one, its not like its an old model or anything.

No online purchasing system is perfect , mistakes happen, stuff goes out of stock at a moments notice, stuff gets discontinued, stock levels in the system can be wrong.

I agree, they should have emailed you saying on backorder or no longer available, thats inexcusable to expect the customer to do the detective work
to find out why goods havnt been sent.
This is all often the norm when buying online, unfortunately .
