I am having the issues 3 nights in a row with internet download speeds around 5MBPS but upload is still full speed. 5.30pm okay, by 7pm through to about 10pm my speed is throttled. Same pattern last 3 nights. Sent three requests for service but no answers. Time to pay them a visit!

Anyone else having issues?

Is it 5Mbp/s or 5MBP/s ? Quite a difference between the two

Seems fine to me. Wellington, 2degrees fiber, 300 / 100 plan, CloudFlare speed test. Sometimes when an ISP throttles they let speed tests through though.

Ookla speed test. Speed is normal anyother part of the day, but 7pm to about 10pm its like this below. Sounds like throttling to me!

Ookla seems fine as well. Could be something about your connection, your neighborhood, or a fault. Try calling 2degrees - if you're patient enough.

I have tried calling each night, but they are on a "special project" and cannot be reached. I think the special project is 8pm knockoff time! I will visit the local shop tomorrow.

Are you testing this over Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

@Franklinopdenbuysch What make / model router are you using?

Can you also test to the nearest 2degrees server

Testing over Ethernet. Fritzbox 7590.

Tried a couple of new server locations for the speed test, one was much better:

I tried 3 or 4 diferent tests from different servers, got from 2Mbps to 600Mbps.

Then why is the same pattern repeating for the last 3 nights in a row? Sunday, Monday we did chew through a lot of data, 20 to 30GB then we started with the slow evenings.
