Hey,
So I got a media center with a 8800GTX (no im not changing the card any time soon) and it does all my freeview tuning etc.
I want to buy a new LCD HDTV in the 37 to 42 inch range.
My budget is basically $1500 max maybe stretched to 1700 if its _REALLY_ REALLY worth it.
Now I know I want 1920x1080 but I was told about pixel mapping where as if the LCD doesnt do 1:1 pixel mapping you will get the edges of the screen chopped off..
Nobody in the shops advertise anything about pixel mapping and I have a real hard time trying to find any info on manufactuers sites as well.
Do I really need 1:1 pixel mapping or is there a workaround? and if I do what TV's actually have it? most of them these days or will I have to really look around?
Will be using HDMI as well and one salesman said if it has HDMI you dont need pixel mapping it will always fully fit :\ is that right?
thanks
