Yeeesss... I explained why this happens. The subs don't like acronyms (and there's a good reason for that). You don't see "ISP" in the Herald for that reason, but "Internet provider" instead. CDMA and other mobile telephony acronyms are a major headache for the subs who are itching to spell them all out, but can't.
Agreed though that if you're going to spell things out, you need to get it right. GPN is a funky one.
Surely these guys are not so uppity that they cant peer review articles and point out factual errors (im sure SOMEONE on staff would see that thats an error).
