Yep, I’m currently a SkinnyBB 4G subscriber on the 120Gb plan, just keen to see if I’ll be in the 240Gb ‘limited’ map area too ☺️

I'd like to know too, on behalf of a client who for 5 years has been connected to a cabinet 6km away. Currently syncing @2mbps.

Nobody told her she lives in the middle of a 4G area. :D

in some places skinny won't be there that spark is.

Fibre is approx. 40 and 180

I get 26ms to Sydney on Gig Fibre. 40ms seems very high.

how we rural people really get screwed over ,first they dont want to upgrade the exchanges ....then we pay higher prices

i ve been on sparks 240gb plan for a year now and out of contract , might switch to skinny if its way cheaper

Yes. For your average joe that uses say 180GB a month, this fits perfectly though. They don't need to go through the hassle of a fibre installation and honestly, for a mobile based connection it's a solid price.

in an area that we have 3CA live, It's also a solid preforming product! mitigating the issue of say, being close to the tower and hanging onto L700 which may be being heavily used by a customer far further from the tower.

And If you run out of data you can just re-buy and thereby shift the billing end period forward... is that correct?

Idea behind this is using the excess bandwidth where a better plan doesn't affect network much. Especially with the new modem.

For rural areas often the closer to the tower bits are defined as urban.
Further out you get to where only L700 goes. Or very limited L1800 so feasability isn't a 1:1 equal here.

That's a hard arguments....I dont think there's hundreds of people switching bandwidth/using when the rural population virtually stays the same basically they can't be bothered upgrading ,comes down to simple neglect and money

Remember i don't answer for Product decisions so i can only simply advise with as much accuracy as possible.

I'm also a Rural user, i don't disagree with things being a hard sell.

However facts are; if we look at most 'Rural' WBB Customers, they all share Just L700 Which has the least amount of bandwidth available to share.

if we compare to where this Ultra Wireless broadband product is available, there we have L700, L1800 and often up to multiple L2300/2600 Carriers. (Remember 240GB plan isn't available everywhere for Urban users too.)

i suspect the price for the 240GB Rural product may come down, but that's not within my area to even speculate on so much.

looks like there a unlimted wireless plan out even thou on 3G (a bit costly thou)... i been on a un limited 3G wireless plan for over a year now

works quite good not really good for gaming ,but for netflix etc works good ive had 3 people in my household streaming at once still hold ups

and even in 4k on netflix

i still really don't agree with vodafone offering this plan on wholesale.

The risk to the network performance simply is far too high.

Unfortunately for them, RBI agreement also boxes them in from making too many performance decisions.

I've been using Skinny 4G BB for the last few months while I wait for Fibre to get laid at my new place. Honestly, it's not bad and the signup and onboarding was super simple, no wonder it's such a hit. I've now got the option to change to the 240GB plan - might just renew to that soon so I can watch some HD content again...
