And for some reason Speedtest thinks that I am in Auckland with an ISP called ISGL (no idea. Seems to be a web hosting company). I did pay extra for the static IP and it might be that this is from their pool or something.

EDIT: Typo

I have had that on and off too. I used to have that all the time when I was with slingshot... Not sure why.

Also on disabling windows defender, I have it disabled 100% of the time I really don't like it.

are you able to do this by going to the dashboard page, choosing VLAN, clicking "add int" - "VLAN" then as per your screengrab?

Correct, but you could also do it from the main screen, Add Interface, Add VLAN.. same thing

Then you have to give it a VLAN ID of 10 and select a parent interface to attach it to, in my case eth0

What kind of speeds are you getting via the ERL? Close to the max?

Speedtest just now :

I have seen speeds approaching 920 down. I'm just happy with the ~100up, I was on the 100/10 plan previously and I host a couple of services here, so that increase helps.

I'm running EdgeRouter Lite v1.9.1alpha1 firmware at present.

Thanks, looks good. Hope I'll see similar, the main drive of the upgrade (and the PITA of updating a bunch of IP's to reflect my new one) was for the upload speed, the download is just a bonus!

I got a call today and a technician from Downer is coming tomorrow :D wondering what new modem they will give me. I currently have the Technicolor one.

They router manages to max out the connection - around 945Mbps - and has a decent number of features. I can't speak for the wifi as I don't use it but it should be fine.

It's far better than that old Technicolor router (TC7210)

On a 200/20Mbps HFC connection I get 160Mbps on wireless ac through three walls - not bad for such a cheap device.
