Wow I've done 1903 updates on quite a few machines and none have taken any longer than an hour even on a HDD.
On my HP laptop (Intel Core M, 8GB RAM and SSD) it took about 45 minutes. On my desktop (Intel Xeon, 48 GB RAM, SSD) it took about 15 minutes.

Quite odd … the laptop got to the 100% install, then rebooted … was grinding away for another hour until about the 25% mark then suddenly rocketed ahead to mid-80's and quickly through to 100%.
Everything seems to be working as before, the only apparent difference is that it has 'converted' to the light-mode colours (easily rectified).
haha tried to get this update earlier in the week and it chugged through it in a good amount of time, and then rolled everything back upon reboot....Mine is an older Alienware R3 Aurora (over clocked with SSD's blah blah still goes well hence still holding on to it even though its long in the tooth) with RST so am thinking (hoping) its the issue with the RST drivers from Intel. So will look to update those and see if I can come out with the new version or a paper weight :\
Hmm nope, updated RST version, installed windows update only to have it rolback after the first reboot...why can't it clearly say why it is rolling back...argh....

HP Pavilion 15-AU616TX laptop (has SSD drive) developed the BSOD (first ever!) after the Win10 Pro 1903 update.
The laptop would reboot from desk top anywhere from a few seconds to many minutes.
After a couple of frustrating hours I decided to reinstall a most recent copy Win10 from a USB stick.
The install stopped early on and reported that there was a compatibility issue with the Intel Rapid Storage driver.
Rebooted laptop to existing Win10 and after a couple attempts was able to uninstall the Intel Rapid Storage driver.
Checked HP web site for an up-to-date driver... not found.
My laptop has been running without any apparent problems since.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.
The second Cumulative Update (KB4505903) whizzed through on my desktop, but kept balking on then laptop … the ubiquitous error message "... failed to install ..".
Ran the Win 10 Resolve Windows Update tool and it ground away for nearly an hour … after rebooting a number of updates showed up and progressively downloaded/installed them, including KB4505903. All good so far.
Just kicking the tyres now, so far so good...
Had to repair my windows update library so some manual shagging around with things, but it finally has burst into life! Awesome!
Geez, and I thought I has some trouble with it on my 5yr old home-built desktop, but nothing compared to everyone else.
My only issue was Windows Update kept telling me the update was available, but my computer wasn't ready for it. Downloaded the Windows update assistant and manually ran it, done in 5 mins.
Mostly just frustrating because I kept waiting for it to be "ready" and the help that Microsoft provided about why it wasn't, wasn't much.
My sound on my headphones is really low now since this update. If I keep moving the master slider repetitively up and down around the 90% area in the mixer it will occasionally ding at the proper volume and then go back to incredibly quiet.
I'll try removing the device and reinstalling it after a reboot but this hasn't happened in the past before.
Have you checked the Sound settings to see if Exclusive mode is ticked. Whenever I have had problems with volume changing automatically it is usually that tick box.
