I think it’s fair enough for them to be able to ID you - they’re entitled to know who is reporting all the rats in their stores.

Hehehe, four-legged or two-legged? 😎

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Well, if that can happen, what else could go wrong? Data is never secure. Like water it can penetrate through anything.

The fandangled aus payment system via QR code at terminal got shut down 30apr too due to users being suckered into a phishing scheme.

Presumably meaning someone was out there impersonating and goin' on a buy-up QR scanning spree.

Seems the terminal generates it and your app approves. Rather than the other way around.

The supermarkets will try and make you spend more - how to beat them at their own game - RNZ

  1. Look up and down and, if you can, leave the kids at home
  2. Try to ignore the end of aisle displays
  3. It's not time for a little treat
  4. Don't give in to the compromise option
  5. Be aware of heuristics
  6. Gamify your shop

I recently went to London, where they have Amazon Fresh and Aldi using camera tracking technologies.  There are 5-10 cameras per aisle tracking items you removed from the shelf, and you just have to scan your credit card or Amazon app QR code to exit the store.   Staff said if I take an item and put it back on another shelf, I will still be charged.  My teenage son and I were stopped for checking at the exit because we walked past the alcohol aisle.

The store looks to have only 2 staff members.  Sooner or later, these technologies will land on this side of the world, and there will be more cameras tracking our every move.
