Jama: Demand is probably driven by price rather than need. If Sky was $10 a monthly everyone would have it.
I see Contact energy have raised the daily power supply charge from 71cents to 97cents - a 35% increase. Any savings in the price of broadband will now be negated by the extra $7.50 p/month in power supply charge.
Power = $29.10 p/month and Gas = $39.00 p/month whether you use it or not (a grand total of $68.10)
Phone = $42.00 p/month with as much local calling as you can consume
