Finch: Anybody having trouble connecting?

I cant connect to PSN, nor the Battlefront Servers.

I lie, I just got in but very bad connection, extreme lag, it was unplayable.

Have restarted Router + PS4

I've played a couple of times this week, not had any problems connecting our playing.

I haven't seen any match making settings so could be a ea / server issue

Harvey Norman has a lot of new releases on console for $78. Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4, Uncharted Collection and Black Ops.

Imagine what BF5 will look like when it is released end of next year. I assume will be using the Battlefront engine?

Star Wars Battlefront uses the Frostbite 3 engine, same as Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline and Mass Effect Andromeda just newer games use a more matured version. Rumours are Battlefield 5 will use Frostbite 4, which makes sense so it will look even more amazing :)

wow, they've really improved that engine.

Im not one to complain about a game if things aren't going my way, but tonight was just something else.

The teams were massively stacked in every single game mode I was doing. Walker Assault, Capture the Pod, Blast etc.

I saw Heroes in my team standing around doing nothing, literally nothing.

The Imperial has a massive advantage in Walker Assault, especially when the teams were so bad as they were tonight. Every team I was in was getting rained on with Orbital Strike. It seemed consistent for a good 2 minutes.

I took a screenshot at one stage, and the teams were nearly 2:1. Somehow the other team had twice as many players, the game of WA ended before we even got the first checkpoint. I top scored with 6 kills, somehow managed 6. Rebels would spawn and could barely take 2 steps without somebody killing you with a pulse cannon or homing missile.

I was hitting people with Rifles, did absolutely no damage. Not sure if it was a bug or what, but I know I hit them.

Tonight was just weird, I have never experienced a time in my gaming history like what I had tonight. It was dreadful, massively put me off the game, but i'll still play lol.

Matchmaking/team balancing mainly.

Yeah, they have a few things to fix. I got 30-40 kills in the AT-ST through some shameless spawn killing. Should have stopped but it felt...satisfying. The Dark Side has its allure.

Great - really enjoying it so far.

Playing on PC on close to max specs and it looks great.

I have found that the key to it is getting the right powerups and knowing where they fall - eg on the molten lava the AT-ST powerup always seems to fall on the right side of the battlefield, or even just getting in the right turret on a choke point.

Can really bump up your KD ratio a lot.

am also finding that emperor palpatine is the easiest hero to do well on - except for the kill the hero game on endor where boba fett is just so OP

The force is strong with this one!

Just venting, but man this is the biggest disappointment of the year for me.
On PC, without a server browser it's useless. Utterly useless.
Anything other than Walker Assault, you'll be lucky to find a full server.
So it's a game of clicking on each game mode to see if you can get anything going.
Total frustration. I'm retiring this game until they change it, if not then goodbye and I'm glad I didn't fork out for a season pass.
When I do get to play I enjoy it but quite why they ditched the server browser I do not know.

I agree with the above comment, I have yet to be able to join any multiplayer aspect of this at all on PC.
Really regret having outlaid the $$ for this as I can never get a game online, regardless of the time I have attempted to try.
It's rather disheartening to search for a game to watch the search get expanded out to 30% full games. And this happens with each of the scenarios I attempt to play.

On PS4 it will do the same, even 5%, then it will find a game that only needs 1 more player (You). EG Walker Assault/Supremacy. where its 20 vs 19

Just played some more Walker Assault.

When are players who are on the rebels team going to learn that the aim is to activate the systems and to attack the walkers.

I literally just saw a guy standing at a system for 5 seconds, I thought he was activating it. I went over and the option was there to activate it. So he was standing there doing absolutely nothing. Even more annoying is when the walkers become vulnerable I see 3/4 of the team attacking the Storm Troopers. WTF. Attack the walkers for god sake.

So, I got an amazing surprise on Christmas when my wife gave me Battlefront for PC (the first time she's ever bought me a video game).

I just upgraded my very old PC to a nice i5 6500 with 8GB RAM. However, I retained my existing old GFX card - a 1GB GTX 650 Ti - as I'm not much of a gamer at all, and can't justify spending hundreds just on that. So I was actually very nervous to try Battlefront, as my video card doesn't meet the 2GB minimum specs - although I had seen examples on Youtube of this card being used.

Good news though - I've been blown away by how well it has performed! Started on low detail settings, but worked up to High settings and still performing wonderfully well (40-60 fps). It looks amazing!

So, for anyone who has simply assumed that because the specs are high and it looks so damn good, be prepared to investigate whether you will in fact be able to run it, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Just a shame I'm a bit rubbish at the game! :)

Is that a new game for the new movie? as battlefront name has been around for a long time for star wars games I thought

did you know lucas said theres too many billionaires in the world and can afford to give some away to the less well off..
I have more then I need.

hes a good guy by looks.. so will more buy his star wars stuff if know that LOL..

arr I see.. battlefront upgrade with add-ons for new planets.. etc

amazing graphics.. gets better as tech improves.. what happened to the promise of 250 core cpu and video cards
with special fluid that cools and acts like the wires in it :) perhaps around the corner

sadly I could never play DOOM and first person shooters without vomiting.. those lucky people who can play them.

I too have purchsed this game on PC and have only been able to get into a multi play game once.

After talking with EA support they blamed my ISP(spark VDSL) and told me to talk to my ISP them to get them to look into the issue or change ISP.

EA's trouble shooling process involed a tracert using instructions found here https://help.ea.com/en/article/ping-traceroute-and-uo-trace/ and sending them the report.

I personally dont think it is and issue with spark as there seems to be a heap of people complaing on the EA forums, I think the issue is with the mulitplayer element of the game.

Any one had any success with actually joining a multplayer game on pc lately?
