Do you have the audio issue too? My conversations involving the 'dialogue wheel' thing are OK - interactions with team members and no wheel, are pretty much inaudible.
Yep, pretty much everyone has it.
Yeah it's not a deal breaker but it does make combat sound a bit weird.
After 6-7 hours of ME - LE and not really getting into it, I googled for 'starter tips' and found I wasn't playing it correctly or fully. Being the Occasional Idiot, I didn't realise that I should be using the Power Wheel etc and, in hindsight, I hadn't really set up my character the way I wanted. My excuse (apart from age) is the lack of an in-game tutorial - the game pretty much leaves you to flounder about and I haven't found it particularly intuitive.
So I'm going to re-start from scratch and I'm sure it will make more sense to me now.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Heh, whoops, same boat, though I've yet to find a battle I couldn't just bludgeon through with brute force? They are usually over before I could use anything other than weapons?

You’re quite right about the combat - but (.. cough..) aren’t you the guy who (like me) prefers to play on ‘easy’ setting? Sorry, might have been someone else but someone here said that - and I was pleased to hear it because I was always too embarrassed to admit that and was happy when he ‘came out’.

Little Nightmares is being given away for free, so, tempted to play that. So is Company of Heroes 2. And just got Biomutant for free (!!!)
But out of no where, I have an itch to play I.Q.: Intelligent Qube.
Remember that game? I only had the demo as a kid, so might be time to get the full version.
networkn: No I usually play on medium difficulty, sometimes on franchises I've played a lot I may play on a harder setting.
Sorry again, no offence intended. Thinking further I think it was @Geektastic, who has also advocated legitimised 'cheating' (eg. dev-sanctioned skips around sticking points) - which I also agree with.

Sony and Guerrilla have released 15 mins of PS5 Horizon Forbidden West gameplay video. Looks great:

Edit: Also just saw this re Far Cry 6. This looks like a brilliant game:

Here's the 4K trailer on YT:

There's some PS5 treats coming.

networkn: @wakrak where did you get biomutant for free?
Someone noticed that there was a Biomutant preorder available for purchase on the EA Desktop Beta app. ~US$3 (NZ$4.90). The app order said it was the Biomutant game (standard edition), the receipt said it was the Mercenary DLC (shouldn't be able to preorder DLCs). EA caught on and removed it, but decided to give the game to everyone who bought the pre-order, even people like me who asked for (and got) a refund 😅

I wasn't offended :) and I agree, there should be cheat mode if someone wants it.
I'd like to play games on more difficult setting, but I get a relatively small amount of gaming time (more than many I guess) and I'd rather get to finish a game and enjoy it than spend 12 months grinding on it.
Perhaps in later versions of the game the special powers are more useful, but enemies are usually dead before I could get them with special powers, so I don't really get it!
I must admit though, I am enjoying the ME1 storyline quite a bit. I usually find the stories in games I play pretty meh, especially fantasy RPG. I don't usually read quests, I just skip past it, head to the waypoint, complete the objective and move on.
I wish there was a quick weapon switch button!
I also downloaded Capcom Arcade for PS4 last night and played Ghost and Ghouls from my Commodore 64 days, much nostalgia there. I see Commando which is one of my favourites of all time.
On an unrelated Note, for the Amiga 500 (I think) there was a wizard game, with cauldrons and you could fly around and do stuff. My memory on the details are pretty limited, but does anyone know the game I am referring to? It was an arcade game.
