I have a Toshiba Protege 3500 Tablet with integrated Bluetooth running Windows XP SP2.

I have been trying to get my new HP 6315 to synchronize with Activesync over Bluetooth with no luck. I had had the Toshiba stack installed. I searched the Internet for help, tried everything I found remotely similar to my problem of the devices being connected, but AS never completed a connection. Then I found the Geekzone article about the XP SP2 BT stack.

I figured I would give that a go. I removed the Toshiba BT drivers (everything I could find in device manager), and tried to let SP2 find it. It found the device, but doesn't appear to know what it is. I reinstalled SP2 and got the same result. There was no optino to use Windows Update to find a driver.

I could resinstall the Toshiba stack, I reckon, but if there were

I would be beyond grateful if anyone could please help me.

Thanks!
Rick

---- Toshiba Stack installation: ------------------------------------------
Download the latest Toshiba Bluetooth Stack from the following URL:

http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/directlink.php?snr=2

Turn of your Wireless switch on the notebook if you have internal Bluetooth.
Install the downloaded Bluetooth Stack. Reboot and turn on the wireless switch again.
Start "Bluetooth Settings" from the "Bluetooth" program folder. It turns on BT.
Complete the installation. Now you should see an blue antenna icon in the sytem traybar at
the buttom of our desktop. Just double-click on it to start the Bluetooth hardware wizard
or use the mentioned "Bluetooth-Settings".

By the way there will be a big antenna icon on the desktop, which you can use for file,
picture or business card transfer.
If you use also WLAN than make sure that the suitable antenna is on. Use the Fn and F8
keys to check if Bluetooth antenna is on.
-------------------------------------------
Note the the server Com port of the Toshiba Stack is COM7 !
Check also the "HOWTOs" section of the webpage:
http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/

Which describes the Active Sync via Bluetooth of Toshiba Notebook and PDA.
It is not 100% suitable for you, but has surely intresting hints.
