Foo: I think this has been mentioned here before but since upgrading to ICS I send double SMS messages when using Handcent. It only shows as a single message from my end but to the recipient they get the message twice.

When I use the stock SMS program (ugh, ugly) they only receive the message once.

Anyone else got this issue?

Upgrade to LP7 or get Handcent 4.0

Hey, thanks a lot for that tip. I'll install that beta of Handcent. Cheers :-)

I upgraded to Handcent beta 7 but still had the same issue - it occurs with both Handcent and with stock. When I remove Handcent altogether, reboot and send a text using the stock app - no issues. Guess I'll stick with stock for the moment.

Hey Foo,

Have you tried Go SMS Pro to see if that has the same prob? (I haven't used it for a while as coming from the Nexus One I didn't have the luxury of been able to install bloated 3rd party apps)

Cheers

I'm running XXLPQ with LPJ kernel and Handcent 4.0. No issues here.

For those running on Telecom's XT network you might want to try this DVKJ1 modem. The file is flashable using Odin.

After something thin, like plastic or metal.

Search Ebay for the genuine galaxy sgs2 case - it's the holey, black rubberised plastic one - really nice.

Deal extreme has a lot of options, can take around 2 weeks or so to get them but the shipping is free and the prices are good. Just be aware the the prices are in US dollars.

You could go for a skin, like the ones from  Phantom Skinz.

I have a silver one of these. From memory I got it from JB Hi-Fi for $40-$50.
