This is a known issue with Chrome. It happens with a lot of keyboards.

Best bet is to try a better browser.

hey my love hate relationship with my phone is on the love side again -

i have just deleted all boot media and thought i'd ask the question - does it cause bad effects like battery drain? (i know this is dumb ...)

I thought the issue was fixed in one of the recent updates? (I'm not certain thoguh, I don't use Chrome anymore)

Tried Firefox Beta? It's really quick and lightweight.

Nice typo in my last post, I blame Chrome and my dysfunctional keyboard on my SGS2.

That issue was supposedly fixed but I still see lots of people complaining about it and it still happens to me.

No but I've found doing that doesn't actually seem to have any benefit, it's mostly a placebo effect.

Still happens to me also. But seems to affect all browsers, Chrome more than others.

another silly question:

does undervolting actually give any benefit? (we are talking by 100-125)

Undervolting by that much will probably just cause you lots of weird errors and possibly the occasional "sleep of death"

Although like most UV/OC activity... It is very much device dependent... Some will UV really well, others not so much...
As for your original question... I find I do receive some benefit in terms of battery life... I haven't really measured it, and and I suspect it would only be 5-10%, but every little bit helps ;-)

well i'm finding fluxmod 2.3.6 a lot smoother than wanamlite :)
anyway i'm after some siyah kernels 2.6.X - does anyone remember which one was best?

I'm now on 2.6.14 although it is infinitely tweakable via extweaks i find angry gran 2 jerky ... does anyone have 2.6.1 or 2.6.4 ? gokhanmoral.com has removed these files :(

is 2.6.9 the best (i have this one)? (i remember 2.6.4 was up there but ...)

Can you post some examples of a few sites/URLs you're facing this issue with? (so I could test it myself).

Also, what ROM/kernel are you using? And have you tried SwiftKey yet?

Google is the main culprit for me.

Changing keyboards is a bigger hassle than changing browsers. Switched to Firefox beta and no problem at all.

I was running CM10 nightlies on my SGS2 which I've just sold.

Same problem on my Gnex with stock 4.1.1 and then CM10.

Why are you regressing back to old GB Roms?  Dlev was great, no doubt, but not as good as Wanamlite + Siyah kernel.  If you're having battery drain issues on ICS, it will almost certainly be app-related.
