I've had this switched on for a couple of days on iOS 16.1

Noticed a couple of issues (yes, yes...on a beta....)

- keypad tones sent through to a menu didn't seem to register. once i switched off wifi they did

- had a bad handoff from 4G to wifi. Caller and I couldn't hear each other, again resolved as soon as I turned off wifi

Is this normal VoWifi behaviour?

For Spark folks on this thread, happy to feedback more formally if this is unexpected

Not normal behaviour. DTMF Tones should always pass through - wifi calling or not.
Handovers should be nearly seamless too.

From our testing we haven't seen any specific issues with DTMF and most popular services that make use of it - happy for you to DM me some examples. Handovers do work (in both directions) on our network, but rely on reasonable coverage during the boundary of the networks (i.e. if there is no cellular coverage at the edge of your wifi coverage call handover will fail). Was this failure a one off or is it reproducible ?

So far a one off - was as I came into driveway and wifi connected. Call didn't drop - I think actually I could still hear caller, they lost me until I turned off wifi. I'll DM you if I see any other similar situations.

DTMF might have been issue at other end - again, will keep an eye on it.

@Dulouz It is not an issue SparkNZ has aways made it clear sometime in October for WiFi calling for iPhone

Feature can be enabled on iPhone but still not enabled on network side

Wifi calling activated on my Spark service last week. So it’s slowly rolling out. iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 16.02

@MikeB4 are you sure? Maybe the feature can be enabled on the handset does not mean it is on network side

As above Spark has made it very clear that service is not active for iPhone handsets

I don't want to be rude, but it's been discussed in this thread already, in summary:

iOS 16.0/16.0.1/16.0.2 - the setting is there but does not yet work.

iOS 16.1 beta 2 or greater -- Spark WiFi Calling is functional and working.

I don’t know, it wasn’t in settings beginning of last week and now the switch is green but I really don’t care.
