So, first impressions?
It's quite fun from the single player perspective. You can tell multiplayer is baked into its DNA, but at least the single player aspects don't seem like an afterthought like they did in Battlefront etc when they were released.
I spent a fair bit of my gaming time on Fallen Order this weekend. It's getting better than my initial impressions, though I had to remap the keys somewhat as the default is horrible. I now have R1 as my attack and square as my parry.
It all feels a bit hit and miss with combat, the margins for a parry make it nigh impossible, though it's fun to play with force powers. Some of the puzzles are a bit of fun too. Camera angles could be better, it's easy to fall into a hole or off a ledge because you can't see where you are relative to those things every time. I will probably keep persisting with it, but it's more until I find something better I think. I think I may grab re-reckoning. I thought I played it some years back, but watching the in game play, I don't recall it.
It gets better as you get used to it. It's a good game but I had no impetus to play it again once I finished the story. All the collectables are pointless too.

The best thing about it is when you get say, 5-8 troopers laid out before you and you need to take them out. It's a shame there is no real sneak mechanic or ability to "snipe" from a distance somehow. There was one Star Wars game, that was my favourite, where you had push, pull, choke, and you could throw your saber at people. If they remade that, I'd be all over it. No game since has come close to as much fun.
Bought PGA Tour 2K21 yesterday and have put a few hours in already. Pro difficulty is tough but, like most golf games I've played, the gameplay is addictive! Whilst I'm having a ball so far, it does seem a bit light on content. No doubt 2K will be monetizing the snot out of it in due course (Masters, British Open etc.)...
Fallen Order you get used to things. The parry delay takes some practice though late game I think there are better alternatives. I went for the platinum on PS4 so I mopped everything up there.
For me I'm playing Battlefront II on PS4 (free via PS+ months ago) and trophy mopup for TLOU2. Poor PC is a bit neglected lately.
I am super frustrated with Microsoft, since even after the latest patch, I can't even get Flight Sim 2020 to load. It's installed, but CTD at the config screen. Tried everything I can find online to help.
I may need to log an actual ticket, but most people have had a pretty low opinion of the support they have got that way.

That was The Force Unleashed, where you play as a bad guy (mostly). Jedi don't snipe, it's uncivilised. Part of why they were wiped out I imagine :)

Well, I don't mean snipe as in from the other end of the map, more just a projectile attack of some type. Throw a barrel or something. I don't have all my powers yet (I can't even pull) so perhaps it's coming, but you can't sneak at this stage, which makes it hard to position yourself to just "push" people off a ledge as easily. :)
I loved the force unleased so much. I'd contribute to a replacement via crowdsourcing if it ever became a thing.

May have also been the Jedi Knight series, a little older but they have all the things you mentioned, plus they are far better than Force Unleashed.
Ranged attacks are coming, you'll get to them.
On CNet today: "Ubisoft revealed that Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be released one week early to coincide with the Series X and Series S launches." The MS consoles will be available on Nov 10 (at least in the US).
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Really got into Crusader Kings III over the weekend it's like Europa Universalis lite. Lot's of fun and a bit addictive!
I have finally wrung as much as I can out of AC Odyssey. What a fantastic game - really did enjoy it. My problem now is to find something to replace it - have played all the likely contenders.
I’m not sure whether to be embarrassed or proud of the absurd length of time I spent on it, pretty much daily over the past two months. COVID Level 2.5 and a retirement winter lifestyle have a lot to answer for.

Christ! I felt awkward saying I spent 100 hours LOL :)
It's easy to lose 5 hours in that game though.. Like entire evenings.
I think I would have stopped playing many dozens of hours earlier if not for the ability to end 4 players one after the other at once with the spear.
