damnit :( i'm waiting for mine to arrive still! Jealous!!

Are you using the social hub?  Never used it on my original one, but just checking it now and the newer version seems interesting enough

Loving the extra widgets too and the bacteria wallpaper is awesome

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

It doesn't do that much though... only pen drives. I can connect larger drives if I go via my externally powered hub, but even with an external power supply keyboard/mouse/gamepad don't work.

Called customs 0800 number this morning to see if I could speed things up as my item is "Held for clearance" on the NZ Post track and trace site (Royal Mail). The person I spoke with wasn't that forth coming with information and I was initially told to wait for the letter to arrive (5-6 days he told me). After some pushing managed to get a phone number to call in the afternoon. I'll see what happens next. Screw waiting another 5-6 days for a letter to arrive. Frown

vinnieg: Yes, I have mine too :) mine arrived at 7.02am this morning through RoyalMail :)...although it was just left on my doorstep, no sign for. not that I mind too much, I was getting changed at the time and when I got there I thought "oh, another ebay package...then noticed the customs declaration 'handheld computer' and 440 pounds"

Which means Royal Mail is actually faster than DHL.

Might be time to start a new thread on the phone itself and lose 30 odd pages of stuff in this thread.

coke: they won't open and check your order. It's a risk like everything you buy, chances are slight I would say.

NZtechfreak: I have mine!

Congratulations to those who've got one of these devices in their hands, or will do after work (will be a long day!)! :D

Well this thread was started for creating hype and interest in the SGSII, now that it's here, I guess it's 'thread closed'? (to avoid a similar monster SGI style thread)

I phoned NZPost International and obtained my NZ tracking number, then phoned the Customs International Mail Centre at Auckland on 09-2567287. The officer told me that the Tracking No was no use and NZ Post have to produce a Notice Number which they post out to you (a couple of days) and by then that number should be entered into the Customs System. Once that number arrives by mail, I was told I could call customs back, quote the number with a credit card and have it processed for delivery.

If anyone here knows how this process can be expedited I'd be most grateful. It seems my NZ Post tracking number was no use at all.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz
