DoggNZ: Anyone running Lite'ning 1.5 yet?

Yip, installed it last night, no problems here, added some tegrak overclocking goodness to.

I'm on lite'ning v1.5. No problems at all, using about 1% per hour when sleeping. Have frozen a few apps and am heavily undervolted.

I switched to Cognition from Litening largely because he supplies them in a recovery-flashable format so I don't need to use Odin. Plus he's going the "keep it clean" route rather than changing themes etc.

Dev support for Cognition seems to be a bit better IMO.

There's not a great deal of difference between them, but I'm preferring Cognition.

I see Grab-a-deal has Transcend 32gb cards for $59. A-Data & Transcend, neither are exactly "high-end" brands, but for sub-$60 it might just be worth it. Which to get....?

Edit: The actual company selling the memory cards (both of them) is "Streetbitz", a boy-racer outfit in Auckland that sells "Performace parts" (sic), they don't list a physical address and I can't find the cards on their website.

They're also listing those scammy "power bands" on the Wellington Grabadeal page, doesn't instil confidence.

Just bumping the tread to let everyone know that grab a deal has A-data 32 gd micro sdhc class 10 SD cards for $50.00 (NZ) - 5 hours or so left. Was just looking for a card to buy today and there it was. Also includes delivery.

I grabbed one of the A Data cards to see how it goes, I still have my Sandisk 32G C2 card which seems to do everything I need on my phone, will try some R/W tests and report back. Either way I was looking for something to through into my eee Transformer.

Direct Payment Solutions have confirmed they are legit. Not saying the cards are, possibly knock offs, but I am happy to risk $50 to find out.

Edit: Maybe one of the mods can check to IP to see where the dude came from.

Damn, mines going back to Clove for a warranty repair

Hasn't woken up twice in a row, had to pull battery(that wasn't the major issue)

The aerial/network has stopped working now. Tried a new sim, still nothing, think I have a dodgy connection.

Did a hard reset, format, reset, checked the debug menus, registered it manually on the network. Still nothing :(

Oh well, looks like it's back to using my dirty work nokia for the next week and a bit

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

Yeah completely stock, hadn't even rooted it yet :( was going to leave it for a few months

It's odd, i think it's a borked aerial. I can go outside with my Telecom sim and it'll pickup signal, allow me to call but no data. Then when I go back inside, it drops off completely

With 2Degrees it's even worse, can't call or do anything outside, it picks up an Edge icon instead of the 3G or H+ now :(

Oh well, guess now I'll see how fast Clove are at warranty returns... has anyone else returned a phone to Clove in the past year?

IIRC, NZTechfreak had a problem with his first SGS last year, and they were very onto it. . . . .Mind you, he's pretty VIP.

Yeah i think I remember that one, but he purchased a new phone first? Then sent the old one back and got a refund the next day? Don't think I can afford that yet :(

Plus the $44 it's costing me to send it back is a pain. I never realised how hard it would be to go back to a Nokia with such a small screen and keys...

Others have had a great experience with Clove and warranty issues too (and last year my warranty issue preceded any blogging relationship I had with them so there was no special treatment as such). There was recent thread here and the person got top notch service. I expect nothing less for vinnieg.
