I think perhaps once they realised the factory was sending out fakes, and they were being lumpedwith the problems due to this, perhaps they instructed them t stop sending them out. Keep emailing them, say nothing has arrived,but you don't want to be sent fakes, and seewhat happens. I hope they reply to you. I don't kow if Im being nice, I did threaten them with laying a complaint with he police after they offered an $80 refund and to keep they fakes, I didn't want that, and had already told them the only thing Id be happy with was a full refund and if they didn't agree (they had on the website money back gaurantee) then I would go to the police. They then emaileda return address, so perhaps try that.
I have tried everything - nice, threatening and then nice again. I'm sure they will get sick of me soon. I remember reading that they have money back guarantee but as I haven't received the package there is nothing to get money back on. I telling them where the package is held and that I will arrange for it to be redirected to their post office box if necessary. I don't want to take it as that opens up a whole lot of other problems. Anyone getting their package shouldn't open it and then just readdress it to their post office box. I wish they would just reply to me and stop avoiding the issue.
I dont know if it made a difference or not, but I was hearing nothing and yesterday I got so annoyed I wrote an e-mail and resent it to them about 30 times, but the one they actually replied to was the one I titled ILLEGAL ACTIVITY (I had titled all the others with my order number). I am waiting for my mystery parcel to arrive. I will open it so I can detail the features of the GHD's that indicate they are fake, then re-wrap it and send it to the PO BOX. I have not heard from the police in the last 24 hours but I have a suspicion they may have caught up with i-store to make sure they understand the law - the flood of promises to refund money and the disclosure of the PO Box makes me think this. I paid i-store on 18th July, started e-mailing them 21st July requesting refund, and heard nothing until yesterday when I got tracking number e-mailed to me.
I am in the same boat as everyone here. I have been emailing them saying I am going to go to the police and fair go etc but I never get a reply. I haven't even recieved the damn straightners not that I want them!!!!
I have been and laid formal complaints to Police, ANZ Bank (I-store's bank), ASB Bank (my bank), Commerce Commission, Fair Go & Citizens Advice and I have kept I-store informed every step of the way but they dont seem to care.
Still nothing further from them to me despite hourly emails. I will keep sending them until they reply.
I was so utterly peeved off that I have just bought a pair of black new GHD's off trademe. They are genuine ones thats for sure as they are from a salon and I used a credit card. I know if there is fraud involved and you use a credit card you can get it reversed easily. Can't be bothered with i-store thats for sure.
Just because of the grief they caused me I will keep emailing and trying to get refund but am not holding out much hope. They certainly ruined what was going to be a nice experience.
Unfortuntely FairGo get thousands of emails a day so it does take them quite a while to get back to you. They will only get back to people if there is enough interest and they have done some research. Its just good telling i-store what you have done so they know that we won't take their dodgy deals.
Has anyone laid a complaint with police in Wellington? I figure if I do it, it would be good to go to the same station that someone else has and they might take it seriously.
I laid complaint with New Plymouth Police and if its any use Constable C. Ander took my statement. Might be worth mentioning when you lay your complaint. Good luck.
I finally got my refund back from i-store. Please note that i did not have the goods so maybe thats why mine was quick. Maybe you will eventually have your refund once item reached them. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL
Ohwell fingers crossed, I haven't heard back from them since last Thursday, the GHD has been waiting to be picked up from there post office box since friday, and they haven't picked it up yet. I have emailed again asking them to confirm it is there and to refund the money, as it has been sitting there waiting for them for the last 4 days. Fingers crossed they pick it up today and can put the refund through today for me too. Will update when know more.
I have just authorised courier post to send my parcel to the post office box as I don't want to take delivery and then have to send it to them. The girl at courier post will keep an eye on it for me to ensure that it is delivered. I have also sent them a letter today advising them what I have done and requesting the refund. Don't know what will happen but will keep on at the them thats for sure. Will keep everyone posted.
